This is a wonderful DVD recorder that works fantastic

I replaced my old IDE recorder with this one and had to buy a power converter (cheap and easily available from Revain) to convert it to the to get running . It comes with a fairly long SATA data cable that you simply plug into the back of this recorder and then into a (hopefully accessible) secondary data connector on the motherboard. I installed it and it worked great with no problems. It includes "Media Suite 10" which I haven't installed yet but nothing else. I still have the software that…

Disappointed in HP - Internal Optical Drives

A quick comment or two. The drive itself is fine. Does what it should. However, the software that comes with the disc is a 30-day trial, and to be honest, it is. terrible. Installation is troublesome, greatly affected the performance of a good machine, and the sound did not work. Removing the software was just as painful. good burner in internal optical drives

I have bought two of these burners and have had no problems with either of them. Both do what they have to do. The only thing I can't comment on is Lightscribe because I haven't used it. Everything else works like clockwork.

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • no performance

Works perfectly . on internal CD and DVD drives

Works as advertised. Easy to install and easy to use. All of my CD and DVD burning programs recognized the drive and worked without problems. Good ride for the price. Would buy again.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say

More money than it's worth

I bought this CD in December. I was looking for a decent DVD-RW, Lightscribe was just a bonus. Burned almost nothing, basically wanted a DVD-Rom to replace my crappy Phillips. Well, about 2 weeks ago I noticed that the icon in my CD/DVD-Rom quick launch showed that the CD was not available, which is incorrect as there is always a disc. It turns out that when I start the computer it goes online, the BIOS shows that it does. Windows recognizes that this is the case. Unfortunately, the drive just…
