I bought this product last year to print for college. After replacing the old cartridge, this page didn't print, or if I had it set to Best Print, it might have printed very light grey. Makes too few copies for the price. After reading the previous reviews I thought it would be great for my occasional home use. I copy recipes from cookbooks or magazines and maybe I've made 25 copies max and the ink has completely faded and the copies are too light. Maybe the copier I have is to blame, but I still expected to be able to use it longer without changing the cartridge.

This is the same HP branded black ink cartridge that you buy everywhere, but it's a few bucks less at Revain than it is at your nearest stationery store, and we don't . We don't have to go "downtown" to get it when we need it. I know a few people who use remanufactured ink cartridges, but I also know a few people who have tried them and had horrible leaks, so I prefer using genuine HP cartridges. Purchased on February 7th for school. I print out 85% of my work at school, but I prefer to have a backup at home. Today is May 18th and the ink just ran out. I printed almost nothing. Updated Review: On 10/2/19 Fall Quarter started, I hit 10 pages and the ink didn't work. Don't waste money. This cartridge is BS. The alleged 200 pages he says you will get is a lie. I'm trying the $40 XL which has top reviews on 400 sites. I hope one will be better. In the meantime, I promise anyone reading this

I only used this ink cartridge for a couple of lecture notes (about 30 pages total) and it stopped working. I didn't think it could end because the previous exact same tape lasted for a whole school year (a hundred pages worth!). I made sure it was properly installed in the printer and all protective plastic covers removed, but the ink on the paper still hasn't come through. Maybe I just got a bad cartridge. Very disappointing.

I bought this ink in August 2017 to use at school. I didn't use it until mid-September. I used it once a week for a couple of weeks to print out my lab reports which are about 2-3 pages long. When I printed the lab report in mid-October, the ink was completely gone. I don't know how this is possible as the description says I need to print around 200 pages. I've been buying them for many years simply because I don't use my printer/scanner often but in small queues when I need it for work and I can't get to my office. But every time I've bought it (at least twice!) and once ordered it from our office supplier from work (the XL version!), it has dried up and started to print patchy, and then after about 20 Pages stopped printing altogether.
