🖨️ High Yield HP 83X Toner Cartridge in Black for LaserJet Pro M201dw & M225 Series Review

I ordered this for my MFP127fw. Don't repeat the same mistake I made. I ordered it to replace my 83A but the 83X is NOT designed to replace the 83A. Normally X means more power, but it won't replace 83A if you use it in MFP127fw.

Paid for a new product and got a refurbished one. The outer packaging was impeccable, so I didn't expect any problems before the return deadline. When opened, the plastic bag was full of toner (like my hands are now) and the bag was torn. The usual tab you usually pull out before installing was missing. I've been recycling these cartridges with hp for years, as of today they end up in the bin.

Most reviews are positive. My first experience with HP wasn't very good. At 1518 pages, we started with uneven printing and a "very low" warning. We only write simple text, nothing special. This conclusion is consistent with their regular cartridge. I will try again. If it fails to deliver again I will resort to third party suppliers. "Less promised, more delivered" is currently not taking place.

I pay a lot of money for genuine HP 83x toners, new, because they have lasted so long in the past. Almost a year since I print at home. The latter was a complete failure - only 5 months. I didn't type any more than usual. Less so during the pandemic anyway as work has slowed down. It may have been mislabeled and is not durable. But I paid 83x for the high performance. I want a refund or a replacement for this cartridge.

ATTENTION! Revain and HP say it fits my HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M127fw. It is not! So I bought it because the printer said I needed a new cartridge. I just ran out. I missed the return date, so no refund. Guilty. Worse, I did the exact same thing in 2016! I donated this to Goodwill and it looks like I have another donation. 140 dollars. down the drain because of the comparison chart that Revain printed at HP.

The product is probably fine. Please note this is not suitable for M127fw printers. I was looking for a third party cartridge to save money and when I bought a compatible HP 83a toner on the Amazon website an HP sponsored advert came up saying the 83X was compatible and so was two packs of 83A and 83A so I just bought his. as opposed to buying a non-brand because of the price. This is totally false advertising. I had another HP printer and found that the X stands for high capacity and easily fits the advertised toner count. Apparently the X in this cartridge doesn't mean it's compatible with 83A, which is suitable for the M127fw MFP. Learned the hard way it didn't fit by opening it up and pulling the protective tape. I have bought these rods 3 times now and have never been disappointed with the quality or performance. I intentionally buy high-capacity cartridges so I don't have to change toner as often and also reduce waste, although I recycle used toner cartridges. IMPORTANT: See attached picture of units 83X and 83A. If your printer is not listed on the 83X box (below in the white section), DO NOT purchase this cartridge. As many other reviews have pointed out, they are not fully interchangeable.
