HP EliteBook 840 G3 Laptop, Core i5-6300U, 16GB Ram, 500GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro (Renewed) Review

I've had a very similar laptop for many years (6 at least) and it's still a very good machine. When I retired my wife and I really needed two machines because we learn to trade full time and we need to run at least two instances of Thinkorswim on each machine. This laptop has the features I've needed for a long time, and the price of a refurbished computer makes it much more affordable than a new computer. PCs and laptops are now like cars. Why buy a new one when a used one can do the same job…

Great little laptop. especially for the price. I am running 2 additional monitors and have more than 20 browsers open at the same time. My old "cheap" laptop stopped working. That, on the other hand, is completely unproblematic. Definitely recommend.

Inconspicuous crack turned into an unusable screen in two months. I should have worried about buying a refurbished one, but I've had good luck in the past, I think this teaches me to buy a new one from now on. Other than that the battery (before I scratched it) is good and has a built in CAC reader so good for soldiers - if you buy it from someone else.

This is not a touch screen. First time regular customer and I have to say I was impressed with this company right down to the packaging! Great job, would buy from you again, just hope you don't fall into the trap of most computer companies. When they have proven themselves, they start making inferior products. Keep it up

We installed it at one of our customers and it worked so well we ordered 3 more units. Fast, lots of storage and portability!

This computer (refurbished) came with a quick setup guide which was absolutely UNUSABLE. Nothing worked as described in this guide. Luckily I'm good enough with computers to understand them. It was supposed to ship with Windows 10 (125.00 from their website), but it does NOT. It kept asking for a 25 character "product key" that was nowhere to be found, so NO Windows 10. I have to return it, but there are some free programs that are as good as Windows. Otherwise the device appears to be working…

EDIT BELOW! I just got it two days ago and so far it's the best purchase I've made in years. As new when I received it. No setup issues and have been fine ever since. To be honest if I needed it I would buy another one today. Obviously it's not that long ago, but sooo good so far! EDIT: Started with errors stating that the operating system could not be loaded. All updates and diagnostics tried, still repeated. I send it back within a week of receiving it and am very satisfied. We'll see how the

I bought this laptop because I also use it at work and have a lot of experience with it. I'm not splitting atoms or trying to get famous on TickTok so this thing handles daily family chores etc no problem. Good machine for the price.
