Very Reliable!: Wireless Access Points

My AT&T router needed to be restarted at least once a month, so I decided to try a business-class Wi-Fi hotspot to compare. The Aruba AP12 seemed like a good choice as all the reviews I read or looked at were very good. And of course it has been very reliable so far. It's been about three weeks and I haven't had any problems. It feels very well built as it weighed more than I expected. I use it with a tp-links poe injector and was able to place it in a central spot in my apartment and get…

Excellent network products AP

Easy to set up. Online and set up in 5 minutes. I've used Ubiquiti extensively and it compares very well to their hotspots. Performance seems just as good, if not better. As a reliable hotspot that is easy to set up, this one can be recommended without hesitation.

I have 3 for my home network.

Easy setup and fast internet access! For enterprise-grade performance and super easy management, you can't beat this setting! You can manage from your laptop or an app on your phone. Easy guest network setup, which allows you to protect your home network from prying eyes, and adding another hotspot is as easy as connecting and syncing with other hotspots.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Roughly

I had a basic SOHO install prior to the Instant-On conversion; Before: Netgear Nighthawk R7800 with another Netgear WiFi extender in another part of my house. The R7800 had some range issues and the firmware/UI was buggy. The WiFi firmware has been corrupted in recent firmware updates required to fix the CVE. Not only that, toggling ethers on the R7800 was CPU bound (limited by lack of hardware acceleration) so backing up to my NAS Netgear WiFi would have been slow! Also, the 5GHz WiFi repeater

Great access point for many environments

Aruba Instant-On is a great line of products at an incredible price. We install them at work for SMEs and they are very reliable. I bought two of these for my home network when we switched to WFH about a year ago, as did most of the world. Ever since I installed it, I never have to think about WiFi again. They work and work well. Powerful, stable VOIP roaming between access points without dropouts and delays. Built-in QOS and easy threshold settings for each client or application category. You…
