Fits on the tank and bolts on but the hose connections are at a slightly different angle and I couldn't connect the hoses.

This product WILL NOT FIT EX500 Kawasaki Ninja 500 – as advertised and contracted. This version will not work and sellers cannot resell it.

The primary works but you couldn't twist it to the main on my bike so I filed the handle and loosened the outer bolts a quarter turn so I did I could twist this without pliers. this is working now but reserving a very very slow leak for it, no stream so it doesn't really work maybe in traffic it could be. For the price, it worked like a charm on my 1982 xs400r bike.

Note this is not an OEM part but will work just as well with a few minor modifications. For the Kawasaki Ninja 500 I needed a smaller vacuum and fuel lines (both were pretty cheap at the auto parts store). It took some elbow grease to install the fuel line to the carburetor. Also, the fuel line was routed in front of the carburetor because the lines were swapped. But aside from those 2 small changes, this faucet works really well and is only 1/10th of the original part - I'd take it anytime…

Says it fits Ninja 500 but doesn't fit. The first thing to do on the Ex500 is to buy a longer fuel hose as the original one on this tap doesn't reach to the gas outlet as it sits on the opposite side of the original one which isn't a big deal but the real problem is that you can only set it to the on or standby position because the knob is too close to the tank and won't move to the fill position. Advertised models are based on which bikes have vacuum valves, not physical equipment. Bought for my Ex500 and while it is bolted to the tank there are many more issues: 1) Fuel hoses will not fit, stem 8mm diameter, tap 6mm, clamp also cannot be used, you need 1/4" hose , adapters and clamps 2) the vacuum hose is loose, the stem is 6mm, that's 5mm3) the faucet barely touches the frame when put on the bike, it's really tight 4) the faucet connections are in the wrong direction, no a big deal…
