Hurst 3916030 Billet Plus Short Manual Shifter for Chevrolet Camaro V8/V6 Review

I love this switch! I like the classic look of this switch, its crispness and precision on very short casts. A big improvement over my stock switch.

This thing is awesome! Follow the YouTube video how easy it is to install Hurst. Now I clamp the gears like a mofo and grab the passenger by the neck in every gear. Very strong love, how it feels (that's what she said) looks cool too

If you do not put a rubber adhesive pad between the two parts of the shifter, a crack will appear. I still had some rattling afterwards but I put teflon tape on the screws and that stopped it completely and also prevented the screws from loosening which is a big problem.

I like this switch, especially the classic style compared to alternatives. Just plan on replacing the cheap plastic derailleur bushings with a metal Hurst aftermarket kit. I would recommend buying and installing a metal bushing first to save time later.

Although I have not yet installed it on my 2010 Camaro 2SS Camaro I give it 5 stars because it seems very well made. I look forward to installing and using it and will try to remember to update this review later. I finally had time to install the switch about 2 days ago, living it out. This switch is worth every penny! If you're even thinking of buying this switch, just do it. I installed this switch myself on my 2013 Camaro LT V6. I read some reviews that said it was harder to install in 2013 and that is NOT true. The only difference is the two spring packs that hold the shifter in place. I installed this on my 2010 Challenger (different model) 2 months after buying the car in 2010 and most recently for my son's 2010 Camaro SS of the year bought . This switch makes a HUGE difference in the overall feel and driving experience of these new muscle cars.
