I can't believe this food slicer is listed as "great for cereal". I tried shredding the Cheerios, Trix, Cornflakes, and Chex and each came out broken and not cleanly cut. To make matters worse, the thing on semolina is almost useless.

The primer was loose and the rivets weren't the right size but the legs were at least. Wrong product. Guilty. The banana slicer is a work of art, its curves are well formed and pleasing to the eye, colorful without being distracting or flashy, creating a sense of lighthearted whimsicality in the room. Maybe my expectations were a bit high, but I couldn't successfully cut more than 3 bananas at a time. I don't know how Hutzler can claim to cut 571 bananas with this model. A video demonstrating proper technique would help. For this reason I would only rate this product 3 stars out of 571, but Revain's rating system doesn't seem compatible with this product, so I downgraded an additional star.
