At first glance, it's thick enough for a Maryland winter. Not so thick you'd think they were slipper socks, and not so thin you'd think you'd punch a hole in them. My 4 year old is a short guy so they come up to halfway up his calf and that works well for us. I like the variety of colors because they can be combined with outfits, occasions and seasons. I will definitely be ordering more in other colors!

I bought size 11-13 for my kid who wears size 5.5 big kid shoes. They fit well but don't take much extra room. One pair had a hole in the heel the first wash, the rest lasted a few months. They were pretty cheap for so many pairs so I still think they're decent quality for the price. There is nothing to complain about in terms of comfort. I like that they are mainly cotton. The thickness is what I expected from such a sock.

These socks are perfect for my son. What I like is that the top band isn't too tight like some sock brands. The strap has good stretch and no loose threads to pull out after stretching or washing. They are soft and comfortable, not scratchy at all. They're big enough to wear with winter boots but not up to my son's knees so that's great.
