I'm no macrame expert so take my opinion with a grain of salt but this cord is a pleasure to work with and it makes strong knots. It has an attractive natural color and no extraneous odors. I originally subscribed and just kept it for the discount and planned to cancel immediately but ended up quitting the subscription and upping it for a couple of months to get a second ball as it's the best price that I've seen on Amazon or elsewhere. for this length.

I often do with macrame and I wanted to try a thinner fiber cord. I've tried it, but I don't prefer it as a knot tying tool. The thickness of the cord is good, but it's too soft and doesn't have the texture I was hoping for. It wears off and dissolves faster than I would like. Definitely the best cable for small projects. However, it has a very beautiful off-white color and appearance.

I've never made macrame so I don't have another cord to compare. Yes, the ends wore out fairly easily, but it wasn't excessive and I was still able to complete my project. As a macrame cord, I say it does the job. My biggest problem is the crowd. My project called for 56 strings, each 16 feet long, which required 896 feet of string.
