I know because mine are like that. fat and happy. I have a kitten that only eats chunks like this. Apparently this is the most delicious food ever or she is the pickiest cat in the world. So far the jury hasn't reached a consensus on this. Buy it anyway - your cat will probably love it too.

Every cat I've ever had I've fed pits. Now I have 1 cat and he has been with us since he was a child. I spoke to my original vet and my current vet and both said it was good cat food. The current vet agreed with the original vet and both say the other food gives off a bad smell when it comes out. And it doesn't smell, and they go to the bathroom less because it fills them up.

I bought this thinking there would be no problems and after the switch it led to new problems which she never had. I am so heartbroken and literally crying about it and praying that her blood results will be better on her next tests or she needs an ultrasound. I hope this helps someone and can be a blessing.

My cat is at least a picky eater. I've been feeding her Iams since she was a kitten and I'm very glad she's not tired of it yet. If anything, she can use it up a little faster than before.
