This bulkhead connector was a complete disaster. It failed to function within a week of purchase. The one saving grace was that the customer service team was polite and promptly replaced it.

At first I thought I had made a good buy as the build quality of this bulkhead plug is very good. The problem is that the size of the socket, both in length (too short) and in size (too loose), is not suitable for the USB connectors (see photo). I installed it and when I first used it I had intermittent connections due to these issues. Basically the item is totally useless for its intended purpose other than for an appealing look.

This is one of those items that either works or doesn't. Fortunately, the icepc USB D-Type Panel Mount not only works, it also meets quality standards. I have some electronic devices behind the control panel that require a USB cable connection to set up. Having to open the panel to get to the hardware is a real hassle, so being able to mount this connector on the panel saves me from opening the panel. One of the best things about the little plug is that it attaches from the front. That means it
