Most tricks require additional items not included in the kit.

It says he has 75 tricks, but doesn't mention that most tricks require you to provide items that aren't included. Double-sided tape and a tissue aren't very common in most homes these days, so be prepared to do some extra shopping before you can pull off all the tricks.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

Great for kids: Novel and fun toy

This set was missing an item but the 9 year old would-be magician loved it and put on a show for her cousin's birthday which wowed the audience. The instructions were in English and French. It would have been nice to have Spanish instructions (I took this to Chile as a gift) but after translating everything for the new sorceress it was easy for her to do the tricks.

Great fun for kids, tough hat!

My 7 year old enjoys these tricks and videos. She only has the patience a few times, but she is thoroughly entertained. My only complaint is, WHAT the heck do you think giving a kid an artificial thumb the size of a man's big toe and expecting them to manage to secretly hold sugar or something? Come on haha otherwise super fun! LOVE a sturdy hat!

Terrible - absolutely ashamed they sell

Probably the worst thing I've ever bought! Missing Pieces πŸ˜• Most magic tricks require different items, but what upsets me is that most of the tricks don't make any sense at all. 😱 I only bought it for the hat, but oh well, the hat was awful too! The edge doesn't hold up and falls off so you can see the edge inside. I need to buy a new hat, which is why I use this one 😩

Well done, great guide: your kid (or you) actually can!

Magic kits are often cheaply made, bad tricks, with bad instructions. It's the other way around! Packed with great illusions, well designed and well made. The instructions are well written and the illustrations are easy to understand. A ten-year-old child has mastered many tricks. A good mix of easy and difficult tasks to allow the child to do more over time.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Damaged

You must place 90% of the items to complete any of the listed magic tricks.

I was very disappointed with this magical set. The hat is very cool, but you can't do 75 tricks with what's in the box. Almost all tricks require you to have two or three additional items to complete the trick. If I had known I would have to deliver 90% of the magic items that are in the box I would not have bought these. Not worth the money.

  • Durable finish

Great sentence! at Novelty & Gag Toys

My husband and I went to Vegas, we wanted to bring back magical souvenirs for our grandchildren. However, we were limited in space on the plane. So we did a little shopping when we got home. The magic hat set was part of what we got (4 kids). They liked it! Mom and Dad stepped in and all put on a magic show for us. It might not have been the best of anything in the kit, but the kids thought it was the best. Who doesn't love a little magic in their life? Great sentence!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some loose change

To call it cheap is to belittle other cheap spell sets.

This set breaks both of the basic rules of magic sets. First, almost every trick it "includes" requires other materials, making the out-of-the-box set usable. Second, the tricks require excessive staging and adjustment to be performed correctly. This makes it impossible to just do the trick quickly, and the setup is too complicated for some younger kids, making it impossible for their parents to do the trick. I've been into magic long enough to know that when it comes to tricks, you get what…
