Quack about water sports

It's too quiet and quacks like a duck. I could whistle louder than this thing. I like the idea but the product needs improvement.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Good Product: Watersports

There is a "switch" to lock and unlock so you don't accidentally pull it out of the water and damage your hearing! If you don't turn the switch, it won't work underwater.

Pros
  • Industry Best
Cons
  • Zero

Funny but clear sound underwater!

Fun but clear sound underwater! Be careful and make sure it's unlocked before diving underwater. The first five times I try, I can't unlock it within ten feet.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not sure

I like it in case of emergency

Love it in an emergency. I have my own rattles and rattles for when my buddy needs to dive for a scenic view, but that's what I really use for underwater distress. too loud for a simple "hey look at the fish".

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Photo on the back of the box

If you are wondering if it will fit your inflator I have included a photo of the back of the box. Mine matched the Mares Ergo that came with my Hybrid ProTec. Haven't used it yet but seems fine.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Price

Works quite well for diving and snorkeling

I used it in the water for a day and used it underwater about 6-7 times. It's not "loud" by any means, but it has a unique sound underwater, so much better than the rumble of a tank. Very easy to assemble, unobtrusive, looks high quality.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Perfect fit for Scubapro AIR2

Great for attracting attention underwater, especially in the cold when wearing a hood. Sometimes the rattles may not be loud enough. Over water it will only deafen you, it's so loud. Great for emergencies.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Appearance

I almost felt bad not buying this from my LDS.

But if they wanted triple the price online, well, good luck with that. It works. He squeezed my lines lightly. A comfortable "air horn" at first glance - although I'd say try to plug your ears while turning it on. Underwater, a good whale will fart to attract people's attention. Of course, tank explosions, shakers, or tapping a metal compound doesn't use air blur.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Quality

Have a great day of diving and a solid purchase

Drift diving in South Florida yesterday morning on a charter boat. First dive since adding Dive Alert Plus to my kit. The waves were 6-8 feet and the wind was 15-20 knots. After surfacing I saw a dive boat in the distance. Because of the waves, I knew they wouldn't see me, so I ducked my head under the water and triggered the Dive Alert Plus. The boat picked up another group of divers, so the boat's engine was shut off so the captain and crew could hear the horn. A few minutes later they found…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some imperfections
