Faulty External Hard Drive Disaster

This external hard drive ended up being a complete nightmare! My computer would constantly lose connection with the drive, making it impossible for me to work on my projects effectively. It was super unreliable and ended up corrupting my files. The only positive aspect was its size, as it was easy to transport. However, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. Save yourself the headache and look for a better quality external hard drive.

Pros
  • Easy to transport and bring anywhere.
Cons
  • It is heavier and bulkier compared to other external components.

Minimal functionality

Technically it's only 8TB as it's a set of 4 drives of 1.9TB each which is almost 8TB. The bandwidth is terrible, when it worked I was averaging about 7MB per second so he figured it would take 12 hours to transfer 200 gigabytes of data. Unfortunately, the transfer never completed, about every half hour the process got interrupted for unknown reasons and I had to either re-queue the file or start over. I just gave up on the backup after trying two days in a row. Although the price is tempting…

  • Good but not great
