We bought red high-temperature rustoleum paint for our potbelly little stove. I really wanted a red stove. We followed all the instructions and to our dismay the color turned mustard yellow. We have tried Rustoleum high temperature heating twice. My husband wanted to buy another brand of heat resistant paint but I found this one. You made my oven beautiful. No need to repaint. Simply apply and polish. I want us to walk this path from the start. It would save the heartache.

After finishing the wood stove (wire grinding and sandblasting) I applied this product to the outside to give a nice black finish and to protect the stove from new rust. It had a slight rusty tinge to it the day after application so I reapplied and buffed. Then they lit the stove so that it immediately caught fire. Two days later it had less rust shine. Even after heating (HOT) you still get black spots when you touch the stove. I should have just bought one with high temp. black oven paint.

It went so well, I'd like a before photo! I painted my fireplace with high temperature paint this year and made sure to follow the paint curing instructions, but when winter came and I really started burning in it, all my paint started peeling. I had this ugly worn insole left over so I started looking for something else, after talking to a few friends who all recommended them I ordered them.
