Unsafe mandrel will not hold rotating saw blade

Probably the most unsafe hole saw I have ever used. The mandrel enters the saw blade by turning the blade clockwise. Saw blade CUT clockwise during use. If you stop the drill, the saw blade will CONTINUE to spin AND WILL BE TURNED RIGHT OFF THE CUT, falling to the ground or your project. It hit my hand. Since the saw blade weighs about 2 1/2 pounds, it's not at all certain that it will spin and cut what it lands on. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 on a cobalt hole saw or any other…

You get what you pay for. Spend extra money on the best

I bought this to make corn pit boards for staff use and didn't want to spend a ton of money on something I would only use once. On June 28, 2020 I finally got to the last strand of boards and the first hole went well. I had to drill the second hole with teeth, the saw just wouldn't cut through the board at that hole. I used 1/2 plywood for the face of the boards. I figured it would stick and reset to make sure the drill bit lines up and the cut is right. My drill bit snapped and after…

Broke on first use. Fits Hole Saws and Accessories

I pre-drilled a smaller pilot hole for the mandrel and after successfully cutting the first hole, moved on to the second. While cutting the second piece of 1/2 inch thick plywood, the mandrel broke in half. Luckily I was able to remove the mandrel and replace it with my own drill to complete the project, but I expected this tool to last a lot longer. Very disappointed. Helping my father to make cutting boards

My father makes cutting boards for sale. The corn shears at Laws cost twice as much. My dad says the ones in Laws could be of better quality but as he only makes 10-15 boards a year that's fine for his purposes. He thinks this is a case where your market will eventually dry up once your family, friends and maybe some "friends of friends" have boards.
