Works well but the one I received doesn't look quite right. I would consider a finer mesh filter but not sure which one is really suitable.

If your well water is just pure sand, this will help. Thousands of times cheaper than contracts with a good company and works like a charm. I had strong sand in the water and a ten second rinse once a month and that was it. Self installed with no leaks or problems in about 3 hours.

Paper filter clogged after 2-3 weeks. I installed this setup for 1 month and it catches most of the sediment so my other filter has an expected lifespan of 3-6 months. The sediment trap wringer offers sufficient space for sediment and prevents frequent rinsing of the filter. So far the filter has not had to be rinsed clean for 1 month. The strainer doesn't clog and I didn't notice that this filter reduces the water pressure. Good product.
