Holds well, but can squish around under load and gum up bits

I use this to hold wood pieces for a cnc router. I also use the blue tape and ca glue method as well. Between the two this tape is much more convenient and seriously sticks, but has been known to have a bit of movement when cutting under load. The other thing to keep in mind when buying this is that it is very thick and will quickly gum up bits if you cut into it. I usually like to make my last pass with a compression bit about 0.5mm past the piece to give clean edges for less sanding, but when…

Pros
  • The 4" width ensures sufficient coverage for larger projects
Cons
  • May not have a strong enough bond for heavy-duty applications

Time saver: my feedback

First time I have used double sided tape in my wood shop. The tape is perfect to hold several pieces of wood together as I cut identical parts on my bandsaw. The adhesive is separated by a thin layer of non stick paper that is easily peeled off after cutting with sizzlers or a knife. The tape holds the pieces firmly but is easy to Remove after finishing the task. I never have had any of the tape adhesive remain on the pieces after separation.

Pros
  • It is perfect for use in both professional and DIY woodworking applications
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove from tools or machinery

Tough Stuff!: my feedback

The tape sticks and pulls off easily. When you peel off a strip you will need to cut it with scissors because it does not tear. Only difficulty then is separating the backing from the tape trying to find where to peel it. Other than that a great product.

Pros
  • This tape is an essential tool for any woodworking project
Cons
  • Could stain or discolor light-colored wood

Just bought this double sided tape but found it was very easy to move the applied board slightly. This may be ok for large panels but for small blocks secured for CNC or jigs it is too flexible. I updated my rating after using a bit more. I found this worked well for larger panels and for handheld routing. Given it is a good value I will continue to use except for critical CNC holding.

Pros
  • The adhesive is specially designed to be gentle on your materials, reducing the risk of damage
Cons
  • Can be difficult to apply to small or delicate pieces

This double sided tape is an amazing product. From past experience I expected some sort of plastic film with adhesive on both sides. This tape is nothing like that. It is a substantial, sticky layer of adhesive that conforms to the slightest irregularities in either surface. This property is what made it perfect for my application on wood-wood adhesion. I attached a 3/4” work piece to a 3/4 plywood pattern and using a pattern-following router bit to put a beaded edge on multiple work pieces…

Pros
  • Good double sided tape for wood working
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on rough or uneven surfaces

Good tape for pattern routing

I use this tape for sticking templates to rough cut boards to route out the shape with a pattern bit. It works great for this purpose. It holds very well, it's easy to apply - the backing comes off easier than the old tape I used to use. It's very strong tape. It pulls off easily and doesn't leave any residue/doesn't hurt the wood. I use MDF for my templates and solid hardwood workpieces, so I'm not sure how well it works with thin veneer. The only negative is that this tape can't be ripped off…

Pros
  • Too hard to trim off 1/4" for edgebanding
Cons
  • May not be easily available in all areas

This stuff is great!

I use it for holding things down on my cnc. It can be difficult to get the backing off of it but once you do and get it stuck down it will provide a perfect temporary hold.

Pros
  • It helps you create a more professional finish to your projects
Cons
  • Application can be messy and require clean-up

Why didn’t I buy this sooner?

I love this tape. I use it to adhere wood together for mock-ups, for fixing to larger, flatter boards in the planer, and for putting an instant reference straight edge anywhere for the router (by using with a ruler). It’s incredibly useful.

Pros
  • It can be used for a variety of holding and fixing applications, such as securing jigs and fixtures
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on all types of adhesives or finishes

Good Product on my review.

This is among the best 2-sided tape I have used. It goes on easily. The protective tape peels off easily and the tape itself peels off well when you are done. My only negative is that you can't tear the tape. It must be cut. Probably best to use scissors rather than a knife.

Pros
  • The strong hold ensures your materials stay in place while you work
Cons
  • May not hold up well under repeated use

I opened a new roll of tape and was using a few small pieces to hold down some plywood while doing some routing. It held it down great which is what I expected. However, when I tried to remove it more than half of the tape remained stuck to the plywood and could not be removed no matter what I tried. It left large patches of a sticky, gooey residue. I eventually was able to remove it with multiple applications of Goo Gone and a lot of scrubbing. Perhaps, I just got a bad batch of tape but I…

Pros
  • Lo uso para carpintería
Cons
  • Tends to curl up at the edges, making application difficult

It's easy to peel!

I have been using double sided tape for about 30 years. My greatest problem with this type of tape was removing the covering layer of the tape once the sticky side is stuck to my wood patterns. I have never had a favorite brand of double stick tape, but I do recommend this brand to anyone who has the need. I'll buy it again.

Pros
  • Good stuff very easy to work with. A+++
Cons
  • Can be tricky to remove from the roll without tearing

Be watchful on thin laminate wood.

First time using tape for making things on the router table. All in all, it worked as expected. I made 12 inserts for my table saw out of 1/2" Birch ply. The tape seemed stickier on the unpapered side. I say this because when I pulled the pieces apart, the tape stayed on the template side where it was first applied. This turned out nice as I reused the tape for three more copies. However, I found it started to shift on the fourth, ruining it on the cut. That was OK, as I now had a guide for how

Pros
  • TRUSTED DOUBLE SIDED WOODWORKER'S TAPE. Woodworker's trust this double sided tape for CNC routers because of its high shear stress resistance and solid tensile strength that can withstand high rotational speeds and will keep wood panels perfectly in their place.
Cons
  • Could cause irritation or allergies in some users
