Extra care needs to be taken when installing the toner cartridge as it will hold even the smallest amount of precipitation and will streak when it doesn't. If there is hair loss, you need to clean the rollers and all the little corners along the inside edges, which is inconvenient but makes for a clean print. With this purchase I learned that you can save money by buying some things cheaper, while for others you just have to bite the bullet and buy a known brand. I have been buying EZinks toner for my Brother printer for over a year and I am very satisfied. They last longer than Brother's high capacity toner cartridges and I've never had a problem. Works fine just a sensor or something in the drum unit is broken. About a week after installation, the printer popped up a drum replacement message. When I looked at the printer logs it said there was 0% left in the drum. But the printer continues to print normally. I had to buy a replacement because I don't get an alert when the drum is full. But the print quality is ok. I think that's to be expected with a refurbished unit.

My Brother HL's original drum began to stain everything I typed. There was a stain on the drum that would not come off no matter how many times I cleaned it. I took the risk of buying a cheaper branded drum and am very glad I did! It was so easy to put in, works great and no more ink smudges! I print TON almost every day and have had no problems with this replacement drum. 10/10 recommend!

While this may be great value for money, it's not as good a product as the Brother brand. After installing this drum, I fed multiple sheets, which means extra work for me to pull out those blank sheets and put them back in the tray, not to mention I now have to check every copy of the printed company invoices to make sure none of them is not a clean slate. I know it's the drum because I haven't changed anything else. Lesson learned. Pay extra for the Brother brand and get a reliable product.

There was a clinking noise and faint black lines on the pages during printing that I was able to correct. I took the risk that it was a worn drum and ordered it from EZ Ink. Have used their toner before and found it great and good value compared to OEM. The new drum unit was easy to install, the printer showed no errors and fixed my problems. Works well, pages print cleanly.
