Great for inkjet plastic cards

I like it, it works well with the Canon pixma 9120. I just wish I had a stencil for vertical use. Or a template that I can use in the publisher

Works great with Canon inkjet printer

I specifically bought a Canon TS9000 which was on sale because I didn't have an inkjet printer before. It prints beautifully with this card tray; You need to do some experiments to get the best result.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Hard to say

Received my plastic card tray today and immediately tried to use it with my Canon TS8120. However, every time I put the tray in, the printer just spat it out and said I needed to put the tray in! Very upset! I read about the little aluminum squares on the tray on the Brainstorm website and checked that they were there and looked intact. I've compared a PVC card tray to a CD printer tray and they are virtually identical in shape (except one holds CDs and the other PVC cards). I tried suggestingโ€ฆ

Problems Printing with TS8120

Problem with TS8120. I can't print it, when prompted to insert a tray the printer just goes back to the main menu and doesn't start the job. Can someone help me? I called Canon, they didn't help and told me that this printer doesn't support printing on PVC. If you want to do a team view with me, please email me. I have all the settings intact, set the paper size to tray M and set the feed to the disc tray.

  • Special Offer

Works great with TS8120

We've been making silly ID cards out of laminated paper for years and we're looking for cheap PVC card solutions on a whim. Of course, PVC inkjet printing is extremely easy with this tray, and the results look better than any in situ thermal PVC cards I've seen for a fraction of the cost. The photos are a bit blurry but the maps are not live. I printed tiny barcodes and QR codes with no problem, you really need a magnifying glass to spot ink smudges. I always print cards "Full Cut" with fairlyโ€ฆ

Great for printing gift cards

I have bought a Canon TS9120 and have already printed about 50 cards. He held her right. Either the reviewer or the instructions say that the tray should be cleaned if ink gets on it. It is true. I had a card that was misaligned (probably my fault) and got some ink on the back of the card: it's not a technical error, just something to remember.

Pros
  • Good build quality
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Finally, it's good value for money as long as you want it.

It is enough if you find a compatible printer for the different trays they do it for. Keep in mind that what's available on the market right now will be the ink-sucking monsters that Canon makes on its lower and mid-low printers. Print quality is there, but don't expect great speed. My main goal was to physically verify corporate VIP membership cards, and this was done exactly before sending them to a professional printer to print 10,000 cards. With my setup, it took about 143 seconds to printโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Waiting too long
