The mounting holes weren't drilled in exactly the right place (one was bad) and the camera module itself is about 1mm off the official RPi (due to the cable being too long for the spec). Both were light enough for me to make up for when I 3D printed the case it came in, but if you're using a commercial case this could be an issue. In the past this has worked as advertised.

Works well. Good quality.

The camera works as it should. The interchangeable lens is easy to use. You can use a different lens and adjust the focus. The included lens has quite a bit of distortion, but that's to be expected. My only complaint is the size of the board, compared to the standard Pi Cam it's gigantic. You can see it in pictures but it's even bigger in real life. The size reduces the board's usability, hence 4 stars. Another thing is that everything else works as you would expect.

The view is NOT wide angle. The board is huge.

Although the lens is a wide-angle lens, it is clearly not suitable for such a small sensor. The view could best be described as ordinary. It is NOT WIDE ANGLE which is why I bought this camera. Also, the board is HUGE compared to regular Raspi cameras, be prepared that it will take up way more space than it needs.

Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it is written

Quality products without price gouging

Very, very good price for a versatile Pi compatible camera. It's also an IR sensor image sensor, you just need to swap the lenses.

Cons
  • Trade in available

Ease of use and installation

Very happy with the purchase. When I started buying the camera module for the Raspberry Pi, I was a bit hesitant. But this item was easy to install and use. It allows you to have all the features of a regular camera, which is what I was looking for - nothing fancy and difficult to install. For beginners and experienced Pi users alike, this is a cool product.
