I think it was a good product and I'm following the directions and yet not only can I do what I need to do with my hair now I messed up my curling iron. I am from the United States and have used this adapter/converter in Thailand and Cambodia. It worked for about 24 hours before damaging my electronics beyond repair. After making sure the switch was set to "Converter" and looking for the blue light, I plugged in my 120v/180w unit and it quickly began to overheat and crackle, with a Burnt plastic smell and black smoke was released. This is after several months of trouble-free use of other converters on the same device. The "converter" worked for
