Description of Insta360 Adaptive Stabilization Waterproof Control

Super 5.7K: The Dual-Lens 360 Mod raises the bar with Super 5.7K resolution, leveraging H.265 encoding, advanced image processing and an AI-powered finishing algorithm to preserve detail and make your footage pop. FlowState Stabilization: FlowState achieves gimbal-like image stabilization without the gimbal. Thanks to a new scene-detection algorithm, your footage stays clear and steady even in low light. Invisible Selfie Stick Effect: Watch as your selfie stick automatically disappears in your edit! Capture easy aerial angles and unique third-person perspectives with a flick of the wrist. IPX8 Waterproof: Whether you're poolside or on a rainy-day ride, this waterproof action camera can handle it. Insta360 ONE R is IPX8 waterproof to 5 meters (16.4ft) when built in the included Mounting Bracket. Or use the Dive Case to keep your camera protected in rough water conditions (e.g. surfing). In the Box: 1x Dual-Lens 360 Mod, 1x Core, 1x Battery Base, 1x Lens Cap and 1x Mounting Bracket.

Best Low-Light Action Camera

Action cameras aren't known for taking great low-light shots, but the Insta360 One R One-Inch Edition is an exception. Only slightly larger than a GoPro, this compact camera is capable of capturing high quality 4K video, RAW and JPG photos after the sun goes down. You still have to know his limitations (he can't see in the dark) but he extended our vlog time past sunset. There are 3 different lens mods for the Insta360 One R and I definitely recommend at least this one.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Good, but not great

The camera itself is amazing, way better than the GoPro.

As for the camera itself, it's just amazing. The stabilization is excellent. Functionality as well as image and video quality are excellent. Definitely looking forward to getting that in the sensor. I've already bought a dual lens attachment. I'm not new to insta360, I've had insta360 one and insta360 one x. Insta360 makes a dynamite camera. I wanted this so I could switch lenses. The editing is pretty good, but the phone's camera control software is terrible. So it compresses the video and…

Obsessed with this camera

So I also have a 360 degree lens for this camera and more recently a 1 inch Leica lens. Because sometimes I need higher resolution as this one captures higher resolution in 5.3K. Very useful when I want to digitally enlarge footage (which I did for puppet zooms). A big improvement in low light - both sunset and indoor shots are sharper and much less grainy. Since I almost always shoot in natural light, I appreciate being able to shoot in a wider range of lighting conditions. By the way, if you…

Extremely versatile, easy to use and portable

I used to have an Insta360 ONE X but I've always wished it could do more like record in regular 4k and use an external mic for better sound and a better screen with more options. Looks like Insta360 was listening because they combined an action cam with their best 360 camera and a bunch of great features. Now I can use my ONE R as a 360 camera, an action camera or even a blogging camera with a tripod and external microphone adapter. The 360-degree video is still very clean, and the selfie stick

Not ready for prime time.

Bought with high hopes. Super Elmer lens from Leica, 1" sensor in a modular system that looks stunning! Too many cons here to justify the $550 price tag. 1. Cannot import frames into Final Cut Pro or editors Premier Pro only if you download the plugin MUST use Studio 360 to import clips and then batch process them (takes a long time and adds a step) 2. Battery life is short, around 35-40 minutes. 3. This thing gets HOT, such as over 120 degrees hot after 15 minutes of use 4. The screen is…

I had high hopes for this camera

I shoot a lot of action movies and need a well stabilized video image. I currently use multiple GoPro Hero 8 cameras but was looking for something with a higher resolution and larger sensor. Judging by other reviews and videos, I took a chance on this camera. I made a mistake. Of course, that's just my experience. Your experience may vary. Issues: 1. After 90 minutes of recording in 5K, the camera would not respond to controls, would stop recording, or turn off. I had to take out the battery to

Disturbed. Bad design. Without body/lens cap. Clumsy UI.

I liked the concept of this camera, but unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to test it properly. A quick walk around the block and the camera got very hot and stopped by me. After having to disassemble the camera to detach it from the mount (more on that in a moment) to remove the battery and turn it off, the interface wouldn't let me view video. It was completely useless. I thought I'd try it the next day and it worked for one video and then started bugging again. I also used one of…
