Instant Pot Silicone Lid Quart Review

This little one doesn't fit properly in my 8 liter pots. I have the pot that came with the instant pot and it fits quite well, not tight but not tight either. When I put it in the fridge it doesn't retain the smell but at least it seals it in pretty well. In my non-stick instant pot, the lid doesn't even come close. I wash it in the dishwasher. It seals my pressure cooker perfectly and I just pop it in the fridge once it's cool enough. Let's face it, pressure cooker chili doesn't keep long enough to put in another container, so this silicone lid lets me put it away overnight. So far I haven't noticed that it retains unpleasant odors, but it doesn't come into direct contact with food either, as I never fill the pot completely. In a nutshell. This is a silicone lid for an 8 liter jar. instant pot. It was more flexible than I thought. I thought it would be stiffer even though it's silicone. It sits a bit loose on the pot, more like a set on the pot. It didn't snap or wrap securely around the pot. I thought oh this is better than using plastic wrap or aluminum foil or a plate so I guess I'll keep it to myself but I want it to be more durable and sit tight on the pot especially if I'm going to be transporting food for some reason.
