I had a similar one - a different brand - for about 20 years but ended up with a hole in it so I replaced it with this one. This is a truly impressive soft cooler. Test: temperature 94 degrees. Cooler in the hot trunk of a car (not an SUV) for 50 minutes. cold and vegetables were still frozen! You couldn't ask for more, plus it folds up nicely and hides under the car seat.

When this bag arrived I loved it, it is very pretty and seems well insulated. I only use it every few weeks when I go grocery shopping. I bought it at the end of April and now it's July 3rd and the zipper is no longer sewn in and has come loose from the bag. In this case, the zipper does not open, but simply separates. This is a good bag, don't get me wrong. Maybe I just got too used to it in a short time when the seams unravel and the lining comes out. Def holds a lot and can put a lot of ice in it. It's durable and doesn't seem to crack or break. But over time it happened so we had to throw it away and get another one. Large. Feels, looks and feels solid. One word: DURABLE! The dirt is not easily visible and too big to get lost in a crowded car. It will hold everything such as 2 kids lunch boxes, fruit containers, towels, forks and spoons, water bottles etc and there is still room to snap and seal. Great purchase for a family. This bag stank of paint and had to sit outside for 3 weeks to air out and transform into a 5 star oversized bag. Once the smell went away it became the perfect tote bag for me. Sturdy thick nylon, lined inside, straps are well stitched to the bag, bottom looks solid, can take a lot, strong enough to hold big bottles.

I use a cool bag for shopping. I shopped at Whole Foods which is about 15-20 minutes away and the bag is perfect!
