BEST crimping tool over the rest

I think these are the BEST electrical crimping tools you can get. They have never let me down and I have tried many brands. I'm an auto mechanic and I use them every day. Unfortunately, it often happens that I leave the tool in someone's car and never see it again. (People don't return tools even though they know they don't own them.) I have Snap on, Cornwell (which I would say, in second place), the Irwin brand (they make Vise Grip), the Cresent brand , Thomas and Betts and Garner Bender. And…

Great tool - hand and power tools

The best crimping tool I have ever used. I can play around with the tool a bit and see if it's a good tool before I use it, it's a good tool. I bought one and reconnected two Polaris RZR1000 plus accessories in a week. I have used them A LOT and am very happy with my set. The cutting edge is good and doesn't stick, the pliers are apex forward so you all have a good mechanical advantage and good crimping of both insulated and uninsulated lugs. I like small and I like to shop before I buy a…

Excellent but not perfect

If you use the right type of cable and the right type of clamp they work great! Lots of leverage, very solid feel, narrow enough to fit in tricky spots. I've found that the uninsulated crimp die doesn't work for built-in shrink clamps (which I use a lot); Either the tubing will break or it will not be crimped tightly enough, especially with wires on the smaller end of the specified range. For clamps with vinyl or other plastic insulation, it does the job perfectly. I haven't tried it on bare…

but this one is definitely the best. No need to spend a lot of money.

Stop using cheap crimping tools and get this one now! I've done more shrink crimps to AWG 8-22 than I can remember using a variety of crimping tools, but this one is by far the best. You don't have to spend big bucks on ratchet crimping tools. Klein tools always offer quality and value. Even showing up with a bag full of small tools immediately commands the respect of those you work with. Like other crimping tools, this one can have a tendency to tear plastic. However, after running a few of…

Feel Solid, Work Well, Made in the USA.

Great crimping tool set. After the trailer wiring fiasco where the wires fell out of the "crimped" connectors, the search for a quality kit began. For some reason I remembered an old electrician friend who said the only tools he used on the job were made by Klein. So I ended up getting these. To be honest, all the others I've used have been cheap kits made in China that felt brittle and often had rubber grips that slipped off when crimped or awkwardly bent sideways. "Crimping", whereby the…
