As a result of my tests, I determined that these compatible cartridges are a perfect replacement option for my printer. The print quality is excellent, and the ink dries quickly, eliminating any smudging. However, they may not last as long as the original cartridges. They work and are cheaper than the Brother version

Cartridges are a bit more difficult to fit into the printer but once installed they work well and are significantly cheaper than Brother cartridges. That being said, as far as the printer itself goes, I feel that not only does it use a lot more ink than it should, but I've also noticed that even though I only print in black and white, I've had to change all the color cartridges - doubtful . Updated 12/02/2019. After researching some online forums, I decided to try these versatile cartridges again. The advice was to shake them before installing. I shook it a little, put it back in and after a few tries it worked. The printer still doesn't recognize the cartridge, but at least I can print. Upgrading my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.
