Good value for money

High speed for the price. Average (not overclocked) processor at a reasonable price. I needed to rebuild my computer with something that could handle multiple games, video/photo editing, and act as a media server. For the price everything seems to work well.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Zero

Everything is fine Processors Processors

It's fine for what it is; it's more for desktop operation than gaming; But for a 13 year old it will work lol. It will work fine on a typical low-to-mid gaming system; Note, however, that there's no Hyper-Threading and some of the other stuff that even the i7-8700 has. It just doesn't work; The 9MB cache compared to the i7's 12MB cache makes it a bit slower for some intensive operations. But it's good for what it is.

Great little 9th gen Intel chip at a great price!

I took this new cheap 9th Gen Intel processor, installed it on a brand new 9th Gen ASUS Prime Z370-P II GA 1151 motherboard and popped it into my existing Rosewell Challenger ATX case with 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR4 memory, EVGA GeForce 2GB GDDR5 graphics card, WD Blue 1TB hard drive and Sentey 725W Xplus power supply, and the W10 will automatically update to the latest version as soon as it is powered on. Wow! 😀 For only 300 euros - a brand new, inexpensive, almost "modern" modernized desktop…

Faster than 10 years ago

I really like how fast it is. What a speed improvement over I 5 on my poor dead 10 year old computer. It's been ten years since I built the computer and the only real change is the 8 pin connector in addition to the 24 pin connector needed to boot the system.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Long

Nothing new for CPU processors

Mine is overclocked to 4GHz on all cores by default. There are definitely better alternatives for the money, but at the end of the day this is another solid Intel processor and I don't regret buying it.

Not quite at a glance

Not installed yet but looks like graphics are there? I'm not sure if it isn't because the description says it isn't, and it is, but the box doesn't say anything. Just confused at the moment *INSTALLED* doesn't come with internal graphics 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Works great on my rack server.

I bought this CPU for a new rack file server. I was looking for something powerful enough for Plex transcoding, but something that could be easily cooled in a case with limited airflow. My server has 8 hard drives in a hot-swappable array, which puts out a decent amount of heat. I connected this processor to a Noctua NH-L9i low-profile cooler, which keeps the processor at 40-55°C during normal operation. This processor was basically plug and play, required no further configuration and has been…

the most amazing Intel processor yet!

Just ordered a second 9400 after trying the first one. I can compare it to my last cpu which was i5 3570k for socket 1155. This model fits socket 1151. It has 6 cores instead of 4 like the older model. It is designed to operate at frequencies from 2.9 to 4.1 GHz, while the old one was more blocked at 3.4. It consumes 65W instead of 90W like the old and current high power model. In fact, this processor typically runs at around 0.8 GHz and generates almost no heat. As long as it is not busy, the…
