I never considered wearing long silk underwear until I wore a Nomex coverall to work. Because it is flame retardant, Nomex strongly recommends only using natural fibers for underwear, as nylon will most likely melt on your skin if Nomex is exposed to a flame. I bought them in July and they self destructed in October. I only hand wash them and loved the first pair I've had in 2 years. But I can't recommend them to anyone. It was expensive, but now it wasn't worth it. One side was torn along the seam and I was afraid I'd have to hang it on something, then the other side came off. Seems like a few others had the same experience - they liked it before but unfortunately the quality has dropped.

I really liked it. I ordered XXL as I currently (unfortunately) have a 44 inch waist. But it sits perfectly on my waist: nice and tight, like you want nightwear, but not too tight. That's the problem with these pants, whoever designed the pattern they're made of must either do something else or get help. You can see that in all the reviews - the cut at the hips and the inseam measurements used for the garment are very poor. Result: The fit is too short, the hip measurement is out of proportion to the rest of the garment leaving little room in the hip area if you're doing anything other than posing like the models in the photos, and overall the design is really bad…

My husband has several pairs of these. He wears them as underwear under his regular pants so his skin doesn't get irritated by smaller fabrics. He has skin neuropathies, and that's very useful. You are worth every penny. They dry clean to perfection, machine wash, and dry almost equally well.
