Very good quality, bright but does not require any special care. Looks great on my gelding. Thus, the separation corresponds to the halter. I turn the rough side of the leather strap up so it presses the smooth side against the back of my head.

Tried 3 other halters before trying this one. Very happy with this pony occasion. My Hackney has a small/petite head and is difficult to measure. This halter is perfect because it has so many adjustments and feels solid.

The holster is really good but the crown stretched in a week and broke with minimal pressure. I oiled it before use and every day for the first week. I replaced the crown with a better one.

We bought three of these in different sizes and colours. They arrived on time on December 23rd and looked great. However, after less than two weeks of wearing, they all began to rust at the buckles. Unfortunately we will be returning to Revain as "unsaleable". If your horse never goes out and drinks through a straw, everything is fine.

I bought two of these looking for a cheap halter. My pension insists that the halters stay on the horses in the pasture and all my good halters that used to last 10-15 years are now broken beyond repair. I wanted cheap halters on the assumption that they would soon be destroyed. To my surprise they are holding up very well so far. I love the color and the top is soft enough that it doesn't chafe on my horse's neck like many halters do. So far, so good.

The most important thing a potential buyer should know is that this is not a real tearaway holster as I understand the term. There's a leather crown that will likely break under enough tension, but it can't be reused, and you'll need to find (or buy!) another piece of leather if the halter ever breaks. Although overall quality was good I returned it in favor of a halter with a small leather binding that would fall apart in an emergency but could then be reused by pinning it back in place.

Really good quality for the price. There is neoprene padding on the inside of the capsule which you cannot see in the photos. Update: Bought because the boarding house leaves halters on the gates and sometimes on the horses. It has been exposed to all weathers and jokes and still cleans like new. I just needed a basic halter to ride where my horse lives. Within a couple of days he was able to get out without even breaking the detachable strap. I've tightened it but it still breaks out when it does. The piece that goes over his nose is very tough as you can see in the picture. I think it's softening up a bit.
