🧂 Stainless Steel Salt Block Holder by Intrepid International Review

After 8 months of use, the welds separating the wire holder from the mounting plates split. I bought stainless steel to keep it from rusting. However, welding stainless steel requires a special skill that this manufacturer seems to lack.

It may be stainless steel, but it's not good enough to keep a block of salt from rusting. It's too early to tell if the rust is surface rust or if it will eventually weaken the holder. Still, I was surprised at how quickly the rust appeared.

I've been using it for two months. I will review this review after winter. So far no rust, no bending. I have tried chrome plated and plastic coated salt stone holders but within 6 months they start to wear out and rust. Then they bend slightly. I use it for goats and sheep. So far very satisfied. These Won't Destroy Your Horses. I originally purchased the vinyl coated Centaur mount available here at Revain. She lasted exactly 24 hours in the stable and was my least destructive horse!
