🪖 Intrepid Troxel Helmet Review

Excellent Troxel helmet! A few years ago I had an old Troxel helmet and wanted an updated version so I settled on this model after reading about different styles. Intrepid are so beautiful, light and very comfortable to wear. I measured my head as directed and selected the appropriate size from the chart and it fits perfectly. I started riding a few months ago and have been using the helmets at the stable. Realizing that I wanted to continue, I decided to buy a helmet. I like this one because it's not too heavy and allows the head to breathe in hot weather. After some very hot and humid days this summer, I took off my helmet and my head was barely sweaty. This is not my first Troxel helmet and I will never buy a helmet again! This is my third helmet after my first has been used and my second has survived 7 falls, 3 hits against trees and many falls onto concrete lol. The only bad thing I can say about these helmets is that the visor breaks pretty easily, but unless you're dealing with horses that scare you and force you into overgrown trees, you'll be fine haha! The head didn't look as huge as most other helmets! I have a rather oval head and my tipperary tends to put a lot of pressure on my forehead, it doesn't! My head is 22 inches and I ordered a medium which was perfect. I bordered on shrinking, but I'm glad I didn't. It's a matte finish with contrasting petals, cute but professional enough. I currently have the Troxel Spirit and it feels too bulky but very comfortable. I wear a medium size. Both helmets fit about the same. What I like about Intrepid is that it's less bulky and fits my head better. I would say it works a little less than the Spirit style. I have a round face so the Spirit Building style made me look weird. I wore it for consolation because my standing ovation scratched my forehead from the liner's poor fit and gave me a headache.
