I assembled this in less than 30 minutes using an electric drill and a Phillips nozzle. It's heavy because it's an MDF board. The only thing I don't like so much (4/5 stars) is that the screws are visible, they don't fit in the cap. It's minor and why it's not an expensive item, but it's just something to know before you buy. It has a wall mount strap for safety which I used because I live in an earthquake. It looks great in my daughter's room and holds tons of books!

This bookshelf is of very cheap quality. The only nice thing is the legs, which give the shelf a mid-century modern look. The back panels are ALL broken at the edge in the package. I didn't mind because I don't think the back panels would add much. The shelves have chipped paint around the edges. It doesn't seem strong at all. I didn't expect that! It arrived with broken pieces and a small tear. Worse, on each shelf, on the sides, bottom and top, ALL the screw covers are visible and protrude slightly! It's so disappointing and I didn't read a single review that mentioned it or I wouldn't have bought it. The stickers that came with the screw covers were too small as the screw doesn't sit flush with the shelf.
