I wear this every day and I work in construction. It's been almost a year and he's still going strong. The clip is very strong. I have an iPhone 7 Plus with a Rokform case so it's a bit larger on my hip but as it snags on something from time to time it didn't even show any signs of tearing. The phone in the suitcase came in as normal. I doubt you could use it with an otter case or a life shield case.

I like it very much. Fits my iPhone 7s with a platinum case (like Otter Box). The platinum holster clip broke so I looked for a replacement. I really like the belt loop or clip options. Use both depending on what I'm doing. Additional security through the use of belt loops can be useful in the right situations. I said "almost perfect" because I could live without a credit card holder, but that wasn't a deal breaker or I wouldn't have bought it. Without it could be a little thinner.
