Don't use the corkscrew to remove the foil on top of cork.

Customer service was very good. They immediately replaced it after I stupidly broke it by misusing it to scrape off the foil atop the cork. Don't use it that way and it should last a long time. Only use it straight up and down to pull the cork.

Broke after 12 months. Company replaced it.

Worked moderately well. It takes too much strong pulling at the end to get the cork completely out. The screw and levers should both be longer. After 12 months of light use, it broke.Update: The company contacted me and sent a replacement which is superior customer service. Will try to be careful using it (not put sideways force on it).

This feels as cheap as it was. Ergonomics are not great, and the point of the corkscrew is so dull that it takes real strength to get it to penetrate a regular natural cork.EDIT: I appreciate that the seller contacted me immediately (after seeing my review) to offer a refund, and did so immediately. So I will give them 5 stars for customer service, and will be happy to consider other products from them in the future. However, I stand by my comments about the product, and hope that they will…

Heavier and tougher than the flimsy ones at supermarkets

So far I am really happy with this. Only had it a month but used it many times. It is heavier and has a more sturdy feel to it than most of the $15 openers at chain stores and supermarkets. No regrets at this point and I am a happy customer

Lasted less than 4 months. Not long enough to get to end of cork.

As others have said, this corkscrew is not of the quality it claims. The screw portion is not long enough to get through the cork, meaning you have to rock it or gradually pull and re-screw to get the cork out. It obviously cannot handle the stress.Update: the seller sent me a new one AND refunded my money. Hopefully it will be better than the last one.

Slightly sturdier than average

Feels sturdy. Wish bottle opener grabbed a little better, but works fine I guess. Feels sturdy, but needs to pass the test of time. Only had a couple months

Flimsy; does not remove real corks cleanly

I wanted a basic corkscrew and this one had a great rating, but what a disappointment it turned out to be. First impression: it's flimsy and feels like plastic; second impression: it does not remove corks cleanly. It handles synthetic corks fine, but it crumbles even perfectly good real corks and doesn't move them even a millimeter out of the bottleneck. The company did provide excellent customer service though. They refunded me and offered to send a new corkscrew for free.
