Description of Irwin Tools 5026015 Spiral Masonry

Tungsten carbide tip is durable when drilling in concrete and brick. Deep single flute removes dust fast for increased drilling speed and longer bit life. Diamond ground tip has aggressive cutting angles for increased drilling speed. Fits all hammer drills with 3-jaw or Jacobs chuck.

Unbeatable Power for Concrete Drilling

This industrial drill bit is a powerhouse when it comes to drilling into tough masonry materials. The spiral design allows for smoother drilling and faster results. It's truly a must-have for any industrial and scientific drilling project. The only downside is that it may not be suitable for softer materials but that`s to be expected with such a high-quality and specialized tool. Overall, it's an excellent investment for any professional looking to improve their work efficiency and results in…

Pros
  • Drills through masonry with ease
Cons
  • Spiral design wears out faster than solid drill bits

Good, but of limited use.

Fits well in cartridge and gnaws through concrete; However, the bit regularly slips when in contact with hard concrete, causing the chuck to shear off part of it. My 3/8" shank eventually approached the 1/4" shank, even with religious tugging. I'm sure the bit would last a long time if I used it on lighter surfaces like brick or cinder block or if I didn't have to drill that deep. Not bad overall, but a standard drill press is probably not the best tool for heavy-duty masonry drilling.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive
