Same as product at Paints

Bought to paint details on furniture. Works best after applying a polyacrylate top coat. Then use a nylon glove to apply and smudge the details.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Factor Set

Perfect for my purpose

I have several R&F pencils and they are wonderfully oily (love them) but I wanted a drier oil pen for a drawing/painting project. Ideal!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • unreliable

Easy to use with drawing, drawing and craft supplies

I love this little colored pencil. I was painting a dresser and frame in my daughter's room and wanted to break up the celadon and hit the mark with it. If you screwed up, it's easy to fix if you do it before it's all healed. I even used it on a break in the white bathroom tile and it filled it in just enough to make it a lot less noticeable.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Appearance

Mount for me

I use these Shiva Oil Pens all the time for oil paintings that require fine to medium line weights. Oil pens are durable, have enough pigment (not just filler) to be pronounced on the canvas. I order them all the time, not just in white but in a variety of other colors. Very important.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires rosette

Slightly stiffer than other brands

This is my first Jack Richeson oil pen. I was mostly happy. It's firmer than others I've used. The color is pleasant. He doesn't seem to shoot as much as my others. I'll probably buy a few more - real colors instead of white - and compare. In general I am satisfied, but the stiffness is a little embarrassing.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
