My 3 year old son loves this game but this is our second game due to the strings fraying/tearing. It has limited educational value - you have to find certain items to level up - and moderate violence - Batman has to really punch/kick/fight the villains. I was actually quite surprised at how much fun it was to play. You play as Batman in one of 5 episodes. Each episode is a new criminal. You must unlock the first 4 episodes to play the 5th.
