Very easy installation - my friend and I were unhappy with the bronze color of the metal on our lamp so we decided to purchase this kit to replace the sockets with silver. Worked as advertised and the instructions were very helpful. You don't have to be an electrician to do this job!

The Jandorf lamp kit was the only one that met my needs and was a complete kit (although I had to purchase a longer threaded part). Revain was the only place I could find a non-copper colored lamp set. I wanted a satin nickel and that "tin" color is basically the same as the satin nickel. The harp and components have a matte/brushed finish and the pommel has a high-gloss chrome finish. Even if I don't care.
