Great machine

Updated by Singer Vivo and I'm so glad I did. This machine is comfortable, easy to use, and quiet compared to others I've used. Creating a thread is easy. The tension is perfect, the thread hasn't broken yet. The seams look great. Don't waste your money on a cheaper car if you want your work to look good.

Pros
  • 820 stitches per minute
Cons
  • Great price

Rating update: only works for a while. Not a good car.

At first I liked this machine. It worked great the first 5 or so times I used it. Then the tension started to get crazy. No matter how I phrased it, it tugged and frowned. Then the dogs began to pull and poke holes in the fabric. Conclusion - the car is scrap and not worth the money. Get something different.

Pros
  • 30 stitches including buttonhole with memory
Cons
  • New competition arrived

Reliable and durable in use

The automatic needle threader does not work. It is difficult to thread the needle by hand. You can't see where you put the needle, so many needles are broken and the thread is frayed. I worked on the car for a week. I have some nice features like easy sewing foot change, selectable needle point up or down with a button. I have been sewing for 65 years and have never worked with such frustrating equipment. Too bad my 40 year old Viking's gears were jammed (literally). I'd take another but I…

Pros
  • Convenient, computer-controlled buttons: Easy reverse, latch and needle up/down, as well as speed control and LCD display
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
