Extra large, extra light

I was amazed at how large the bowl actually is after reading descriptions, reviews and even photos of had read others from people. . So I took mine. There are 2 ready-made packs of ramen in the bowl. it can easily fit 3. Extra large bowl. Another plus: There is a circle of raised plastic at the base that lifts the bowl off the table by about 2/3 inches. The positive is that you can hold on to it at the bottom. I was disappointed. Bowl seemed small

When I first opened the packaging I was disappointed. The bowl looked small. My immediate thought was to return it, but I decided to give it a try at least once. My wife wondered why I needed a plate just for ramen. She doesn't like pasta like me. She can hold a bowl of ramen and vegetables. I loved this little hemisphere. It's the right size for a packet of Shin Ryu Ramen, an egg (or two), about 1/2 cup of veggies, and even 5 ounces of beef/chicken. A complete hearty and tasty meal. I even…

Well made bowls! on tableware

The only thing I don't like is that I wish there was more Japanese art on the sides. It looks like ceramic utensils but feels like hard plastic. when my (2) bowls arrived they were vacuumed together; My second "little" comment. You can see, on the one hand, that the manufacturing process is very well done, with very tight tolerances (unlike Chinese bowls).
