Just what you need. Sturdy, leak proof in kitchen conditions (haven't tried backpack shenanigans yet). So much money and mess over the years and finally lids that just work.

I bought these for yogurt lids so I don't need them to be fully waterproof but I tested one of these for use with liquid. It stayed in the water when shaken, the one I tested leaked when laid on its side for over an hour.

I use this every day and give them away all the time. They clean (and look) way better than a metal ring and gasket. They also freeze well for salsa and frozen jam! We throw away the leftovers in little jars all the time, and my husband takes one to work for lunch.

If you have food cans at home you know what's going on, you open a jar but don't have an easy way to seal it securely to keep it in the fridge for several days . It's just what you need, no metal rings [which can rust] and you don't have to hold the lid flat.

It's really tight with no gasket to loosen, get dirty or deteriorate. It's a fully hard plastic with small, well-designed protrusions around the edge. My only complaint is that you can't easily write on them, unlike this brand's leaky white caps. Although they look very beautiful.

I use wide mouth jars to store all sorts of things. I use a couple of large liter jars for cold coffee and tea in the fridge. It's great to throw tea bags and coffee bags in jars and leave in the fridge overnight. The problem I had was that my glass lids started to rust. I found them by accident on Revain's website and ordered several. They fit perfectly. I did a reverse test with water in my glass and shook it too. It was completely leak free. I will replace all metal caps with plastic caps.
