I didn't know when I bought it that the locking mechanism was magnetic. This is great as you try to buckle up after getting up (or sitting down) in the bathroom and don't want to be ashamed of having to look down. Meets my high standards of comfort and ease of use. The materials are of excellent quality, so I have high expectations. Wide enough to keep belt loop and belt loop intact, but may be too wide to fit through most loops. Excess material can be trimmed off and heat sealed if needed, but don't try to find an original angle as you'll need a flashlight to simulate it. Nice camper/hiking type outdoor zeee belt. Semi-rigid single layer. But by no means can any shape or form use it as a weapon sling. Not bad for the price. I heard it's not too "fashionable". . . 😆 My wife was disgusted by it. Said it was ugly and asked if I bought it at the dollar store.

I was very skeptical due to the price and the fact that they send an extra buckle (leading me to believe that the buckle would break within a few days). I have two of these belts, one is black and the other is desert tan. The latter feels slippery and is less pungent than black flavor. Due to the "smoothness" of the tan, it tends to come loose despite the teeth in the buckle designed to keep it from slipping. The black belt is also loosening up a bit, but not to the same extent as the brown belt. These pretty straps work great. The locking mechanism seemed backward to me at first, since you need to hold the latch with your right hand and pull the "free” end of the strap to tighten it, but after a couple of days it became convenient to do this. The band holds tight and after daily use for the past 6 months it looks just as good as the day I bought it.
