They certainly look great, they round off the look of the interior frame. As with others I'm not sure how much protection they will offer as they don't cover the entire area, the metal around the edges of the door frame is still visible. Be careful when setting them up for gluing as I made the mistake of aligning them correctly side to side but I'm not quite flush with the inner frame! I love the look of the door sills so they deserve 5 stars in that regard. Of course, the rearguards could be a bit longer, but they are sufficient. I was hoping they would give a little more support to our beagles who use the threshold when jumping down. While this helps prevent scratches, they don't really offer much grip improvement.
