These are full length repair pieces that completely fix the areas in front of and behind the skid plates. These repair pieces gets bolted to the frame and the transfer case and transmission get bolted to them. You will have to cut out the lower 2/3 of the existing frame and these will sandwich over the upper 1/3. Simply weld them and you are done. Delivered bare steel, deburred, and ready to be welded. To make installation as easy as possible each piece is pre notched around existing body mounts. Each piece measures 43 1⁄2” end to end. Hardware is included. Made from 10 gauge hot rolled high carbon steel, which is slightly thicker than your existing frame.

Worth the price. good for me

Fit right one. Difficult to Install! I cleaned up edges and am welding it on. Does bolt right in but will be more secure welded and painted.

I was skeptical at first, but Tiewards' center skid repair kit for Jeep Wrangler TJ 1997-2006 did not disappoint. The installation was easy, even for someone with limited mechanical skills like me. And the improvement to my off-road capabilities was immediately noticeable. Not only did the kit protect the underside of my vehicle from damage, but it also gave me the confidence to push my Jeep to the limit.
