They changed the scent a few years ago. It's much more a manly scent than feminine, in my opinion. Still like the product.

So glad I found this! I wanted a decent way to stop coloring and highlighting my hair and let the gray creep in. This gives the look of a great toner and beautifully blends the gray and blonde together. It smells amazing, kind of musky rather than floral. but still feminine. I bought the brunette glaze as well, and it’s a bit darker but also wonderful!

I have been using since early 200's.Great product if you color your hair to extend your color.Smells like freshly ground coffee.A little goes a long way.

This product is wonderful!really like the highlights it leaves in my hair! Only problem I had was the product came in a plastic bag two in bag. U fortunately the product leaked in the bag. Big mess. Did not return. Too inconvenient to do so. Had to just toss out.

This is the only shampoo I use. It has been harder to find it lately as retailer near me no longer carry it. Thankfully, I can still find it on Ebay. This shampoo has a pleasant scent and leaves my hair feeling full and soft to the touch.

I used to use this John Frieda Brunette shampoo years ago and I can say they have improved A LOT! This feels like a Professional hair product. I noticed a big difference in shine and softness after just 1 use. It doesn't completely cover my grays but they are definitely not as noticeable so it must coat the strands with a subtle color. Have tried many John Frieda Products. This is my favorite. Smell is great and not to over the top. It leaves hair soft and under control. Hair seems to have a new dimension.

Excellent product, however package badly damaged and half product spilled throughout crappy packaging job. Cap completely busted off. Ebay wants me to return product for refund, how do I return package which is full of liquid conditioner?

I have been using this conditioner for a year now. I love that it keeps my color from fading. My hair holds color for a long time anyway, but almost right away the grays around my face start showing, so I use more of the conditioner in those areas and it really helps. My color lasts much longer when I am using the Brilliant Brunette Color Protecting Conditioner. It works for me. I recommend giving it a try. I love all of the John Frieda Products.

This shampoo is definitely a great value. Works well for color treated hair. It smells amazing also. Something I order on the regular from Ebay because you can never find it in the stores. It’s definitely worth a try!

I have been happy with other John Frieda products that I have used so I decided to give this a try for my dull looking hair. As I got older my hair went from blonde to a very dark brown, and I have been frustrated by my flat colored and dull hair. These products work very well at cloaking undyed roots between coloring. They don't completely cover; but enough that you can go longer without obvious roots. Smells good. Doesn't stain your hands or the shower walls.

Product is great, I’ve used it for years. Shipping is my issue, they failed to secure top and it was unscrewed (not just the flip top either.the entire top) and half product was covering the other two items. Bad Ebay, bad!

This product saved my hair after too much bleach was used in my highlights. Instead of paying even more money for a color correction I decided to take a less expensive approach. One quick wash and condition (plus a deep hair conditioning treatment) left my hair with a nice soft blonde look--the way it was before the nasty bleach--not brunette. I didn't think it had a scent but if u color your hair.brunett this is for you.Holds color longer and conditions well. I wish when 2 better experienceshampoos or conditioners come on sale . While I do think this is a John Frieda product (maybe the multi-tone), I don't think it is the darkening conditioner. The product color is way too light, and and the container is wrapped in a label rather than imprinted on the plastic like what you would buy in the store. I plan to use it, but it certainly isn't what I ordered.
