Great item: Housewares

Love this item! Got it for our new IKEA countertops which were boring and unfinished and it made them absolutely brilliant. I just warmed them up a bit in the microwave, applied them and voila! Shiny table tops. PLUS water spilled on it is immediately collected in drips for easy cleaning. My husband even left wet glass overnight and the countertops were spotless! I have provided photos so you can see the difference. The first photo is before wood processing, the second - after.

Works well easy to fit

I bought this to prepare a solid wood Ikea desk for use in my office. I used a clean microfiber cloth and applied the first coat generously, then let it sit for half a day before applying the second. I applied 5 coats total and had about a third of the bottle left. Each successive coat helped the table look less dry and feel a little softer. Didn't leave any stickiness. I've been very happy with it and have even used it to grease a new kitchen cutting board with the same experience.

Amazing product, best in wood conditioners, waxes and oils

Premium Meat Block Oil. I've used this on some oak grill tools and some wooden cutting boards. It spreads easily and penetrates well into the wood. Not to mention the pleasant subtle smell of beeswax. Makes my cutting boards waterproof and easy to clean. I will definitely buy more. How to spice up your new wooden cutting boards, here are a few tips. This will help dry the cutting boards in the oven for a few minutes before applying the oil. Place the cutting boards in the oven at 200°F for 15…

water dripping! I was looking for that!

We recently bought a house with cutting boards. They were tired so we repainted them. In the two months of using mineral oil and other products we had persistent stains. We decided to repaint it. We heard that a bartender's friend can remove stains and wow! After removing the stains, we applied John Taylor's heated conditioner. I will never use any other product on my shelves ever again! I also put them on my cutting boards. the water is just there. will not be absorbed. good product! I finally

The top of the meat block looks like new.

Excellent product. I replaced the countertop on the kitchen island with a cutting block. I used this product to condition and seal a new upper. I followed the directions, warmed it up in a bowl of hot water, applied liberally and left it on for about an hour. I know you say 20 minutes but I felt like the longer it's absorbed the better. I then buffed away the excess and let it dry overnight. The next day I repeated the procedure and let it dry for 4 hours, repeated it in the evening and again…

Heat and apply with rubber gloves for amazing results

The search for the best product and food safe coating is over. That's incredible. This gives the wood a smooth, polly-like feel and really shows off the texture. Emphasizes the natural wood color without altering it. We are amazed at the depth of texture of walnut, maple, ash and elm. When used, it has a light and pleasant honey smell, but there is no smell after drying. You need very little effort to get the best results, but the results far outweigh the effort. Here's what I did to get the…

Ideal for wooden kitchen worktops!

I used about 2.5 bottles to finish about 20 linear feet of meat block countertop which I sanded all the way through. We've been living with countertops for a couple of weeks now and I'm very happy with the flow and the way they look. This is by far the easiest finish I've ever applied - not a lot of work - and reliable! I will continue to apply the refresh coat as often as needed - currently about every two weeks - but I expect this to increase as the wood becomes saturated. through (blueberry,

John Taylor Butcher Block App.

I gave five stars because it works. In my opinion there are two ways to apply this. You can leave the cutting board and JT conditioner in direct sunlight for about 30 minutes until warm to the touch, or you can do like I did. I used a hair dryer (fan) to heat the entire surface of the panel. my cutting board until it is nice and warm. I spread drops of JT conditioner a few centimeters apart all over the surface. I heated each drop with a hair dryer until they were nice and warm and flowing. I…

Amazing Wood Conditioner

This is an absolutely wonderful product. I first bought this to use on some unfinished cheap IKEA wooden cutting boards. After the first coat of paint, the wood has taken on a beautiful color tone due to the treatment. For this ongoing work, I started by applying five coats, waiting an hour to a day between coats (it just depended on my mood and how busy I was). I microwaved the oil for 30-40 seconds and rubbed it down with a heavy kitchen towel. I didn't wipe off the excess for the first four…
