not what i was looking for.

I have ordered various items from this company and I am very satisfied with my product. these paper ph test strips are really only good for telling you if it's alkaline or acidic, it's very hard to tell the difference between 4 and 7. the most important thing for me. If you use water for pH for hydraulic systems or gardens, do not use this type of product. even the generally hydrophobic droplets were difficult to read because my nutrients give the water its color. Supplied without instructions

They came without instructions. Not in the box, not on the case itself. Having never used these strips before, I'm not sure how much water to use or how much tape to use. Should I just dip a piece of tape in water or throw the whole piece in a jar? How long should I leave the tape submerged in water? I want to use it to test for alkaline water and I dropped it in a glass and it turned green while the pH drip solution I bought separately turned the same water blue in the other cup. I'm not sureโ€ฆ

They are useless for the actual measurement

Paper reacts to pH, don't get me wrong . If you dip them in vinegar they will turn red, if you dip them in borax they will turn blue. The problem is, when you try to measure something that isn't a strong acid or base, the colors centered around the neutral point aren't that distinct! Especially with slightly acidic things, colors 4-7 are almost identical.
