My 5 year old nephew loved everything about this set. The headlamp is a great accessory. The tools are great. He loved a backpack to carry everything. RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!

My son was delighted to open this set on his 6th birthday. However, it wasn't durable at all. Almost all clear plastic parts broke within 30 minutes. Super disappointed with the quality. Especially for the price we paid.

Worth the price for the binoculars and flashlight alone, not to mention the other goodies in the bag! Bought 2 sets for 7 year old twin granddaughters and they had these binoculars around their necks for days! So pretty! Such a fun set and a really good price! Highly recommended!

My kids loved playing with the set but the bug trap and magnifying glass broke very easily. It should be placed in a padded pocket in front of the rear drawstring as everything else is heavy enough to crack cheap plastic. Other than that, the rest was great.

Our grandchildren aged 10 and 5 really enjoyed exploring this set. I was surprised that the quality of each piece was really good and not cheap. The only thing I would change is that I would take the whistle out of the box and smash it with a rock before giving it to them. Wow, that was annoying!

return. Was a bit disappointed. Bought as a birthday gift for my 6 year old nephew. It's no coincidence that this is for a 6 year old (let alone older ones, I can't believe it's recommended for under 12s!). Pretty cheap plastic items and definitely geared more towards 3 or 4 year olds. If he were younger he would keep it to himself, but unfortunately it didn't suit his intelligence and interests.

My 4 year old grandson is delighted with this gift, as are his parents and younger sister. With so few places to go due to the coronavirus, they're discovering a world of adventure right next door. He has caught (and released) tons of frogs, bugs and butterflies and the whole family enjoys the fresh air and exercise during his 'expeditions'. This is a great gift for a family vacation. Especially now. Forever thankful!

I am so disappointed in this product. I gave it to my girlfriend's son for his birthday. They recently built a fortress for him and it would be great to play in. He opened it and was ready. Dry excited, but after a few minutes everything started to fall apart. I'm so ashamed I gave it away and had to buy him something else to make up for it. Don't waste your money. For the most part it looks and works well. The thermometer on the whistle is in Celsius, which is fine with me because I personally can't stand the US system (I live in Michigan), most parts look solid except for the bug trap and tweezers, but only the time will tell . My main problem was with the binoculars, when I tried to adjust them the eyepiece moved but the image stayed exactly the same (I've used the binoculars many times so I adjusted them correctly), otherwise I would recommend this…
